As we wrap up the year I wanted to share our 2023 fundraising and grantmaking results to date. Last year we invested $13,000 on programming to support nearly 300 students, as well as provide emergency supply kits to our students in Anjiro. This year our investment has doubled and $26,000 to support nearly a thousand students with scholarships at the primary, secondary, and university levels.

Secondly, we are thrilled to partner with local organizations across Madagascar to support our students at all levels of their academic journey and to maintain gender parity. We are collaborating with Teach for Madagascar, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting community teachers in rural schools.

Lastly, it was a proud moment for Anjiro Initiative to represent Madagascar at a research conference in Nairobi Kenya. It was hosted by Southern Voice, a network of think tanks from the Global South that is working on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
