Anjiro Initiative welcomes Franka Rasolomanantsoa as Head of Programs

 

Anjiro Initiative is delighted to announce the appointment of Franka Rasolomanantsoa as Head of Programs for Anjiro Initiative. In this role, Franka will partner with the Founder and Chief Operating Officer to execute all programs and partnerships in Madagascar. She will provide leadership for Anjiro Initiative program staff and work closely with current and future partners, the local community, local officials, and other stakeholders as Anjiro Initiative expands to new regions in Madagascar.

In 2003, Franka served as a Language and Cross Culture Facilitator with Peace Corps Madagascar where she taught the Official Malagasy, Eastern, and Northern dialects to Peace Corps Volunteers in Madagascar for ten years. After working at Peace Corps Madagascar, Franka served as a school administrative assistant at the Ambatovy International School. In 2015, following her tenure at Ambatovy, Franka served as an Executive Assistant and Office Manager at the Madagascar Fauna and Flora Group, an international consortium of zoos and other conservation agencies, in Toamasina. During this time, Franka visited Chicago, Illinois for two months. Her next administrative role was with GIZ Madagaskar Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, which works in Madagascar on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Franka has a Bachelor’s in French from the University of Arts in Antananarivo. She is originally from Fénérive Est in the Toamasina region of Madagascar and has also lived in the Sambava region of Madagascar where her parents were high school teachers. Franka currently resides in Antananarivo.
